Film Update - Almost there!

Ahoy Folks!

The latest news from Story Factory is that The Blow-Ins edit is completed. The film is currently being sound designed, and will then be colour enhanced, before the final sound and picture mix is done.

All of our meagre resources are concentrated on completing the post production before the end of June, so previews and trailers and even our wonderful soundtrack release will have to wait a little longer. Sorry, but we promise everything will be worth the wait in the end. We’ll also have some festival news about Prodigal Son to share soon too.

As for screenings of The Blow-Ins, barring any last minute disasters, they’ll likely be held in July and we’ll let interested parties know about them in plenty of time.

All the best,

The Story Factory Team

SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES!
Ahoy There, A quick update on Prodigal Son and The Blow-ins… Prodigal is currently being submitted to several major international horror film festivals in 2012, most of which take place around Halloween. When the submission process ends for the film this summer, we’ll then switch focus to distributing The Blow-Ins. The Blow-Ins is now entering the final phase of editing with Conor Fitzpatrick, the editor of IFTA-winning Small Change in 2011 and a Grandoff Film Awards Winner for Best Editor for Glassjaw in 2010. Before the film heads off around the world, we are planning a preview screening in June and an Irish festival appearance in August. As a taste of its excellent surf rock and pop soundtrack, we will upload “Our Time”, the Blow-Ins theme song written and performed by Jill Sartini and John B Murphy, on YouTube early next month. Thanks, Colin www.storyfactoryireland.com

The Blow-Ins - Soundtrack.
The latest news on The Blow-Ins is that, as you can see, Jill recorded a song for John B Murphy and Richard Jolly’s Blow-Ins soundtrack at John’s home studio in Courtmacsherry, West Cork.
For those eager to see The Blow-Ins, the film is on schedule to be released in May. We decided on this time because don’t want it clashing with our current film, Prodigal Son, which will be submitted to festivals for the remainder of the year.
More news, plus a sneak listen to our soundtrack, is coming soon….
